Color and Lighting
Color and Lighting are a part of the design discussion in every situation. Paint colors, fabric colors, ambient lighting and natural light all have a place in your home.
Aside from new a sofa and new upholstery on the recliner and club chairs and introducing a pop of aqua blue, the old dark panel walls now have a lightness that transforms the entire room. The built-in book cases painted a high gloss creamy white reflect her collection of books, mementos, and family photos. Frances is very happy to greet family, friends and guests in her cheerful, inviting and comfortable Den!
Fabric Coordination, Soft Treatments & Custom Window Treament Designs
Don't be afraid of mixing fabrics and elements in a room!
I enjoy varieties of fabrics for that "perfect look". Don't feel overwhelmed with this kind of project, custom made or ready made or a mix of both can work for you, we just have to take a little time in the fabric selection, colors tints, tones and shades, hand of the fabric, sheen, the use or purpose in mind and of course lighting comes into play here too.
Space Planning & Aging In Place
When you are beginning anew in the same room or in a different space, Space Planning should be the first step in understanding how the room will best serve it's function. If you plan to stay in your home, let's talk about AIP, this is a perfect place to begin if you need to upgrade kitchen counter heights, bathroom safety features or other areas of concern. Maintaining your independance safely and happily is important to everyone!

The old carpet was replaced with a nice patterned saxony and then came the new sofa, recliner, red accent chair, flat panel TV and entertainment center and beautiful occasional tables. Next lamps, accents and family momentos round out the living room that offers a warm invitation to relax after a long day at work (and play).
The dining room table now shines in it's surroundings! Accents such as the greenry filled wall planters and candle sconces, the gentle landscape framed art and new votive candelabra centerpiece for the table have given this room a new stage for entertaining family, friends and guests!
Design consultations are based on an hourly rate of $75.00 per hour, 1 hour minimum.
Our shopping rate is $25.00 per hour. 1 hour minimum.
For large projects we recommend a retainer, a letter of Agreement and a signed Contract.
Hourly consultations are always welcome!
