My Business Philsophy

I have always been attracted to light, color and texture and how those elements affect and define a space. I love to see what happens when the nuances take place as time passes. Translating this experience into the physical interior decoration of a place gives me the ultimate and wonderful opportunity to see the client “get it” as I have seen it from its earliest inception in my minds eye.

Interior design allows me to fulfill my desire to help others. I want what they want, beauty, comfort, safety and all within a healthy environment. I bring to life the ideals of what could be for the person and for the space. When I enter a place for the first time, I ask to see the entire area not just one room that may be the initial concern. By seeing the total environment I can obtain a pretty good picture of what happens and how it happens and by doing this, I can begin to create the foundation of my work to be done.

In our 21st century life of bombardment by all forms of media where information is updated and changed every minute the client can find sorting out the trivial from the truth to be an exhaustive chore. Being surrounded by world wide information that may or may not pertain to the focus of a project we can suddenly be surrounded by an overwhelming amount of options. This is where an experienced professional decorator can help make sense of everything. Even the “DIY Big Box” customer needs expert guidance, if it’s just confirmation that their idea and plan is solid.

For the client who must have the expert decorator involved in the project from beginning to completion, the benefit comes on several different levels via the client and decorator interaction, the established and dependable resource network and preferred products and services that can be made available through the trade or elsewhere. When specific needs must be addressed a professional decorator will know what to do and how to make it happen while keeping the client informed. I always ask relevant questions, listen intently and also look for external factors that may impact the client’s decisions.

The client’s requirements are of utmost importance because I show my interest to the client by bringing new information that applies to their particular situation. I can offer important contacts to the client that they may want but not know how to reach and will bring a new level of service by providing appropriate information quickly to them.

Honesty and integrity are the highest ethical standards in my personal life as well as in my profession and I ensure that I reflect those values in all areas of my life. My reputation will always be known to my family, friends and clients and they share that knowledge with others within their network of friends, family and associates.

I am active within my community through volunteer organizations and again my reputation follows me as I interact with others. When the day winds down and in preparing for the next, I know that my reputation and my work will be considered and I anticipate the day with an open mind, a clear conscious welcoming the chance to once again introduce myself to others.
